Etat : Fair. 1958. First Edition. 242 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Illustrated dust jacket over brown cloth. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Moderate tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Creasing to front endpaper and heavy tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Binding is loose. Boards have visible edge wear and bumping to corners. Moderate crushing to spine ends as well. Unclipped jacket with visible edge wear and rubbing. Splitting to joints and visible tearing to corners, edges and spine ends.

Closed tear from top of DJ, about 2 inches, beside tear a small chip of the DJ is missing measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches by 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Other minor wear to edge of DJ, sun fading on spine. Book itself is in very good condition, bound in orange boards, containing pictorial endpapers. Tightly bound, corners mildly nudged, and a small tear to middle of spine (same location as hole on DJ). Text unmarked. Binding tight. A fictional story about cattle herding, chosen for the Junior Literary Guild.
