This book is based on a relatively new subject called 'Positive Psychology'. In a nutshell, 'Positive Psychology' is the study of happiness and wellbeing, rather than the more traditional psychological focus which has always been on problems. What is it that positive, upbeat people do? And how do they maintain it in a world that, let's face it, is relentlessly challenging and exhausting? What makes positive teenagers? We can choose to be positive (even when others around us don't make the same choice!). This doesn't mean we live in some 'happy clappy land'. It just means we are in a much more positive and resourceful position to cope with what life throws at us. 3) There are a series of questions at the end of the book that will cause the reader to think about their current habits and re-adjust in light of the positive messages they've just read.
