Karen J. Foli, Ph.D., an accomplished writer, communications scholar and registered nurse, is the author of Like Sound Through Water: A Mother's Journey Through Auditory Processing Disorder. John R. Thompson, M.D., Foli's husband, is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent issues. They live in Bloomington, Indiana.
